Are things getting worse (warmer) more slowly, at least? Examples and occasional musings about approaches to fighting global warming and reducing the impact of climate change for businesses, nonprofits, governments and individuals. Here's the nutshell: increase energy efficiency (dramatically); reduce carbon as proportion of buildings, products and fuels; be sustainable and remember that in nature nothing is waste.

When the water ran out
Traces of 25,000 settlements have been found in the Galisteo basin in northern New Mexico. The wall visible in the eroding hill is from one built near a stream and apparently abandoned in an earlier extreme drought. Archaeologists believe the Southwest is entering another 250+ year drought cycle -- intensified by the effects of man-made global warming.
